Good materials that feel like they will last - worked great for me

I've explicitly stated that it 'worked great for me' as I do think products like this are going to vary from person to person in terms of their effectiveness.
My issue I believe is hay fever related (happens every summer!). In recent weeks I wake up in the middle of the night with a headache which I believe is sinus-related. I normally splash cold water over my face and hair which after a few minutes soothes the pain.

Comfortable Cooling Neck Wrap for Gentle Cold Therapy

The fabric of this neck wrap feels soft and smooth against the skin and did not cause any irritation during use. It has a bit of weight to it, which is typical for gel-style packs, and the dark grey colour looks discreet and practical.
I mainly tried it as a cold compress. The instructions recommend freezing it for 3 to 6 hours, but I left mine in the freezer for around 3 hours. When I took it out, there was a little ice on the surface, so I waited about 30 minutes before wearing it. After that, it felt pleasantly cool rather than uncomfortably cold around the neck area.
The wrap sat comfortably and stayed in place well using the hook-and-loop fastener. I did not notice any leaking or damp patches while using it. For me, it works mainly as a neck wrap, with only a small amount of coverage over the shoulders and upper back. Since I was wearing clothes, I felt the cooling effect most around the neck itself.
I wore it for around 20 minutes and found the cooling effect gradually reduced over time. After about another half hour, much of the coldness had faded, which is fairly typical for reusable cold packs.
I already own a rechargeable heated wrap, so I expect to use this one mostly for cooling therapy when my neck muscles feel a bit tense after a long day. I can also see it being useful in warmer weather as a reusable way to stay cool without needing a wet towel around the neck. Overall, it feels like a neat and convenient option for gentle cold therapy and general comfort.

Perfect for relieving pain

After suffering with a bit of neck/shoulder/arm pain, this came at a handy time to try out.
As a handy extra- the item came with a convenient freezer bag and was easy to fold away and store in the freezer. Now this product can be used either cold (by placing in the freezer) or hot (small amount of time in the microwave), so you can choose which you prefer- I personally prefer the cold compress aspect of it.
The product froze quite quickly but only lasted approximately 10 minutes until thawing out needing to be frozen again. This does mean that it provides that short term relief but not something you can sit with all evening for instance.
It was extremely helpful for reaching the upper back and neck areas with a cold compress which was easy to wrap around your shoulder and neck. It holds itself quite steady when on meaning you are ‘hands free’ rather than having to hold a compress against yourself.
I would say this is designed for anyone experiencing neck, shoulder or upper back pain and seeking a cold compress type item. As mentioned above, it’s main advantage is unlike an ice bag, it can strap around the painful area with velcro patches to hold it in place, so doesn't require using one of your hands to hold it in the right place.
Currently priced at £20 feels reasonable for the type of item you receive, particularly with the fact that it’s easy to store and can be used many times. Happy to recommend.

Excellent Relief for Neck and Shoulder Tension

This neck wrap is a simple but very effective way to relieve neck, shoulder, and upper back discomfort. It sits comfortably around the shoulders and provides good coverage, helping to target sore or tight muscles.
Both the heat and cold therapy options work well depending on what type of relief is needed. I have used it mainly for heat as it helps with morning stiffness as it promotes blood floor to the area
The pack is easy to heat in the microwave or chill in the freezer, and it stays at a useful temperature for a good amount of time. The material feels comfortable against the skin, and the wrap design helps keep it in place while relaxing.
I would definitely recommend this especially because of this current heatwave some cold on the neck cools the whole body down so this has been a life saver!!

Good for tension relief but doesn't hold the temperature long enough

I've started to weight train again after a long break. Because of this, my neck is naturally started to get tense, as well as the muscles in my shoulders. Wearing this around my neck makes me feel like Batman, but I've found that it does help release a fair amount of tension in certain areas. The pack wrap around my neck and can secure fairly tightly with the velcro straps. After putting in the microwave the pack also holds a decent amount of heat. Though I will say that this heat does disperse fairly quickly. So you only really get a few minutes worth of tension relief. The pack itself seems fairly well built and feels durable enough to withstand a good few uses or float around a travel bag for a number of trips. There is a part of me though after using the pack a few times that thinks the velcro won't last as long as the pack itself.
Using this pack is a fairly easy process. Simply take it out of the microwave, wrap around your neck and secure using the Velcro strap. Whilst in use I can do everything from answer emails to cook my Dinner. I'd say after using this product that it might be worth trying out for yourself if you are in need of some tension relief in your shoulders or your neck! Definitely recommended.

Comforting weight and warmth

Sitting at a computer desk for ten hours a day leaves my upper back muscles completely knotted by the evening. Heating this wrap in the microwave requires careful timing; putting it in for ninety seconds provides a deep, penetrating warmth that radiates comfortably across the shoulders. Leaving it in the microwave any longer causes the internal gel to become uncomfortably hot against bare skin. The weight of the wrap draped over the neck feels grounding and applies a gentle pressure that helps release muscular tension. Storing it in the freezer overnight turns it into an effective cold compress for acute strains, though it does become quite stiff and takes five minutes to soften enough to mold around the contours of the collarbone. The fabric covering is soft against the skin, preventing freezer burn or excessive heat transfer. I recommend wearing it while watching television to soothe tired posture muscles. The heat dissipates after about twenty minutes of use, meaning it requires frequent trips back to the kitchen to maintain the therapeutic temperature during longer relaxation sessions.

If you suffer from migraines or bad headaches, this thing is honestly an absolute godsend. I bought it hoping it might take the edge off during migraines, but it’s ended up being one of those products I now use constantly because it’s just so comfortable and genuinely soothing.
I mainly use it cold straight from the freezer and the relief is almost instant when a headache starts building. The cooling effect around the forehead, temples and eyes feels incredibly calming, especially when you just need to lie down somewhere dark and quiet. The compression is gentle but noticeable, and somehow the slight weight actually helps rather than feeling uncomfortable.
What surprised me most is how comfortable it is to wear. I expected it to feel awkward or restrictive, but the material is soft, stretchy and fits really nicely around the head. It blocks out light really well too, which makes a massive difference during migraines or sinus headaches when even normal room light feels too much.
