There are three products in the LyfeFocus hot and cold therapy treatment range.

The Hot Therapy treatment is the perfect way to naturally relax tense muscles at the end of a long day and helps return you to a relaxed state of mind. Use the heat therapy to relieve the misery of back, neck and shoulder pain, soothing any discomfort and easing stiffness.

Microwave heating

Place the gel pack in the microwave so it does not touch the sides. If this requires you to fold it, then please remove after half the recommended time shown above, turn over, and complete the recommended time – to ensure the gel is heated evenly.

Next…

Check the temperature of the gel pack. If not hot enough then please place back in at 30 second intervals until the desired temperature is reached.

With the XLarge Hot/Cold Therapy Pack, insert into the protective cover provided.

Once temperature has stabilised you have the option of removing from the sleeve for use.

The Cold Therapy treatment reduces inflammation, assists healing and will bring relief to muscle injuries and areas of the body that suffer from being uptight. This also makes the cold therapy a fantastic supporting product to any chiropractic treatment that you might be receiving.

Freezing

Place the gel pack in the Freezer between 4-8 hours for best results

Insert the gel pack into the protective cover and attach to the desired area for a maximum 20 minutes.

Once temperature has stabilised you have the option of removing from the sleeve for use.

Please follow the time instructions carefully and pay attention when using the microwave.

Please ensure the product has reached room temperature before switching between heating and freezing.

Do not put the Hot/Cold Pack in direct contact with skin straight out of the Microwave or Freezer.

The LyfeFocus Hot and Cold Gel Packs are great for targeting backpain, and can be used when lying on your bed or sofa.

The pad is large enough to cover your upper and lower back, and you can either use the hot pack (microwaveable) or the freezer ice pack (this is for sciatica pain relief).

Apparently the heat pack improves circulation / blood flow with the ice therapy offering relief from aches and pains or sporting injuries. I’m a bit too long in the tooth to have sporting injuries now, but the pack has offered relief from back ache, and at this price point, is worth trying.

What drew me to getting this was a lot to do with its size and that you can lye directly on it. I had a accident 5 years ago and broke my back in 5 place and suffered a spinal cord injury, although I take pain medication daily I do not like to rely on it to much, I mainly wanted this for the heat side of it but feel like the cold pack would be beneficial in the hot weather. It doesn’t take long to heat up in the microwave when it is ready to use I put it directly behind me and lay directly on it. I find it really good for my needs. I’m glad I’ve got this, it’s helped me a lot.

Love the fact that it can be chilled or heated, so it’s superb for chilling those sports related tweaks we get from time to time (my wife and I do a bit of running!)… and for providing some heated relief in those back and shoulder pains too!

The padded sleeve it comes in is great too, it seeps the heat or cold through, but provides that protection you might need if it’s nigh on frozen or jolly hot!
With that in mind, this makes for an excellent hot water bottle too, for those cold nights when you need your bed warming! What a brilliant thing! I might get one for the “oldies” in the family, I think they’d welcome something like this in the winter at bedtime!
